Gabe Chiu shows a group of preschoolers on a field trip how a wall is made. Gabe designed some learning activities for the children, too.
The parents and children practice laying out and "setting" tile.
They tour a carpentry shop.
The children manipulate tools and building materials with parent supervision.
Equipped with her own tool bags, belt, suspenders, and real tools, Gabe's 3 year old daughter is ready to be a helper on projects around the house.
Her tools include a tape measure, flashlight, jeweler's hammer, screwdrivers, level, and the occasional tiara and/or cordless drill.
